Description

Students are introduced to the deep-sea environment and its unique habitats; introduce the diversity of organisms that inhabit the deep oceans and their adaptations; demonstrate how the deep oceans are intimately linked to all other marine ecosystems; discuss current and emerging human impacts on the deep oceans and their relevance to understanding future change on a global scale.
