This course provides an introductory experience in a clinical setting, under the direct supervision of clinical faculty, to evaluate and manage the vision disorders and ocular health conditions of patients. This includes refractive, binocular vision, ocular health, and visual pathway conditions. In addition, the student will learn to apply appropriate management and treatment protocols, as well as communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals. In addition, a skills laboratory component will introduce the students to new procedures and technology commonly used in primary care settings.
