Teaching

Dr. Otto teaches in the Professional DPT program and serves as faculty for Clinical Practicum courses and Integrated Clinical Education experiences.

Scholarly Activities and Research Interests

Dr. Otto’s primary research interests are in student development of critical thinking skills and application in the clinical setting.

Service

Dr. Otto is involved in community health fairs and various events that promote health and physical fitness.

Areas of Practice

Dr. Otto’s primary area of specialty within physical therapy is orthopedics.  She has varied experiences treating patients in inpatient and outpatient settings from the neonate to the geriatric patient in areas of orthopedics, neurology, wound care, burn care, and vestibular therapy.

Professional Activity

Dr. Otto is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Section member of Orthopedics and Education.  She is also a member of the Florida Consortium of Clinical Educators and American Council of Academic Physical Therapy.
