About

I am a dedicated and outgoing educator with an incredibly strong passion for teaching, research, and assisting students in achieving their maximum intellectual potential!

I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's and master's of accounting, maintaining a perfect 4.0 and being highly involved in its academic and athletic communities. During this time, I also completed an Audit Internship with Ernst & Young, LLP and a master's thesis on Corporate Social Responsibility, which remains a major inspiration for my current research.

I went on to work as an Auditor for Ernst & Young, LLP and sit for my Certification in Public Accounting. I received perfect scores on the Financial Accounting, Tax and Regulation, and Auditing sections and was honored to receive the Elijah Watt Sells Award in 2007, acknowledging a top ten score on the CPA Examination out of over 50,000 national candidates.

Motivated by my passion for accounting, learning, and teaching, I then earned my PhD in Accounting at Florida International University, focusing on Auditing, Ethics, and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Currently, I conduct research in these areas, and most of all, I love teaching Accounting and inspiring my wonderful students at NSU!
