Brooke Elvington, JD, Ph.D. is a Professor of Criminal Justice at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Elvington is a licensed Florida attorney who practiced for more than 20 years in state and federal criminal courts. Dr. Elvington has represented clients accused of crimes ranging from minor misdemeanor offenses to first-degree murder, and she successfully tried the first federal terrorism case in the United States after September 11.

Dr. Elvington is a former Assistant Professor in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies at Husson University in Bangor, Maine, where she taught a large array of classes including criminal law, wrongful convictions, constitutional law and the law of domestic violence.

Dr. Elvington earned her law degree from Penn State University and her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Nova Southeastern University.
