Personal profile
Dr. Minond is a biochemist specializing in drug discovery with a strong interest in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Florida Atlantic University. He then went on to complete post-doctoral studies at The Scripps Research Institute after which became an Assistant Member at Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies and, consecutively, an Associate Professor at Harrison School of Pharmacy at Auburn University.
Dr. Minond is a member of American Association for Cancer Research, International Proteolysis Society, and American Peptide Society, has authored more than 50 scientific articles and book chapters and serves as an editor and reviewer for multiple scientific journals and grant review panels. He is a recipient of multiple grants, including the Florida Biomedical Council and the National Cancer Institute.
