Donna Hillier, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist and assistant professor in the Department of Clinical and School Psychology program. Before joining the College of Psychology as faculty, she held numerous leadership positions including Director of Academics and Director of Clinical Training for the Psychology Postdoctoral Residency Program. She also spearheaded the development of new initiatives in collaboration with NSU colleges, while she led as the Director of the Master’s of Science in Counseling program as well as Director for the Applied Behavior Analysis graduate specializations. In her administrative role, she established the Child Life Specialist program, an Early Immersion program, and cultivated the expansion and reach of an Experiential Learning Program, which was a professional development experience designed to engage interdisciplinary learning and service across the University and larger community. She is currently the program director for the Forensic Psychology master’s program.
Donna is passionate about enhancing quality education and training and has actively served as chair and/or member on a wide variety of task force such as the Academic and Internal Review Committees, Institutional Effectiveness, Best Practices Committee, Student Success Committee, Quality Enhancement Plan and Re-Accreditation Task Force.
Her professional interests include the study of professional training models in psychology and clinical supervision, emotional intelligence, high achievers and women’s issues. She has extensive clinical expertise in providing psychotherapy, consultation, and coaching services to high achieving adults seeking personal growth, long-lasting wellness, and fulfillment in life.
