With over four decades dedicated to dentistry, education, and public health, I have built my career on a deep commitment to service, academic excellence, and advancing equitable oral healthcare. My professional journey—from my early years as a dentist in Cuba to my longstanding faculty roles at Nova Southeastern University—reflects a lifelong dedication to teaching, mentorship, and improving clinical outcomes for diverse and underserved communities. As an Assistant Professor and Team Leader in Restorative Sciences and Public Health Dentistry, I strive to integrate evidence-based practice with compassionate, culturally competent care. My work with the Hispanic Dental Association and extensive community outreach further fuels my commitment to reducing disparities and empowering future generations of dental professionals. Guided by integrity, collaboration, and a passion for education, I remain devoted to fostering student growth, advancing research, and contributing meaningfully to the evolving landscape of oral health.
