About

Janine Morris, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication, Media, and the Arts in the Halmos College of Arts and Sciences at Nova Southeastern University. She is a Faculty Coordinator for the NSU Writing and Communication Center. She earned her Ph.D. in English and Comparative Literature with a specialization in Composition and Rhetoric (along with a graduate certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies) from the University of Cincinnati in 2016.
 
Her current research interests include administration and emotions in writing centers; online literacy instruction; graduate student writing instruction and mentoring; and fake news and media literacy. Her co-edited collection, Emotions and Affect in Writing Centers, was published by Parlor Press (2022). She has presented at national and regional conferences and her work has been published in various journals and edited collections. She serves as the lead web developer for the Global Society of Online Literacy Educators.
