Dr. John Vsetecka is a historian who researches, teaches, and writes about the history of famine, legacies of mass violence, and transitional justice in eastern Europe, the Soviet Union, and Ukraine. Dr. Vsetecka is also the founder and current co-editor of H-Ukraine (part of the larger H-Net platform), which shares and promotes academic and scholarly content related to the study of Ukraine. Additionally, he is a podcast host for the New Books Network series in Ukrainian Studies. You can find his interviews, scholarship, and writing in multiple articles, books, and media outlets.
