Dr. Kara S. Erolin, Ph.D., LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), AAMFT-approved supervisor, and Associate Professor of Couple and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Erolin has extensive experience working with underserved populations, focusing on addressing structural challenges that affect mental health and relationships. Her clinical orientation is grounded in social constructionist ideas, emphasizing the need to challenge dominant narratives to make space for other valid voices and experiences. She has specialized knowledge in Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) for trauma and Parent Management Training-Oregon Model (PMTO) for parent skills; and she is a trauma/field responder for the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology.
