About

Kevin Willeford O.D., M.S., PhD, is an Assistant Professor at NOVA Southeastern University's College of Optometry. He majored in neuroscience at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL and then completed both his optometric and vision science doctorates at SUNY College of Optometry. He served as an Assistant Professor at SUNY after graduation and had didactic, research, and clinical responsibilities.

His didactic and research interests focus on understanding normal vs. abnormal binocular vision and the unique demands that each poses to the oculomotor system (e.g., the neural mechanisms of sensorimotor fusion in visually normal individuals vs. aniseikonics and strabismics). He enjoys using eye movement analysis and computer programming to teach and study these topics. As a strabismic himself, his favorite activity is to participate in research studies and learn more about his own brain.
