Robert E. Seifer, Ph.D., is a Licensed Psychologist specializing in psychological performance enhancement. He is the Team Clinician for the Miami Dolphins and a Sport Psychologist for the Chicago White Sox. He was the Sport Psychologist for the Miami Marlins (2011 - 2019) and the University of Miami (2012 - 2017). Dr. Seifer created and implemented his POWER program for psychological performance enhancement for Olympic, professional, and collegiate athletes. In this role, he works with athletes to improve upon and maintain their elite athletic discipline.

Dr. Seifer brings his POWER program to Nova Southeastern University (NSU) and works with the NSU student athletes to enhance their athletic performance utilizing mental skills and sport psychology. He is the Director of the Performance Enhancement Clinic (PEC) in Sports Medicine where he provides applied interventions and techniques for the NSU student athletes. Dr. Seifer supervises doctoral students' practicum experience in the PEC where they utilize the POWER program and mental skills tools while working with Coaches, Staff and Athletes at NSU. Dr. Seifer's research is related to mental health and wellness for athletes including sports injury and return to play, team dynamics and coaching styles, and athlete's individual limitations for their success.

Dr. Seifer is an Associate Professor in the College of Psychology, Department of Clinical and School Psychology. Dr. Seifer graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors of Science and he earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at NSU in 2002.
