Project Narrative
This project proposes to understand how growth efficiency determines the ability of highly dense populations of
bacteria to resist antibiotics. It will have a fundamental impact on public health as it may lead to the development
of novel ways to treat bacterial infections, which will extend our ability to use existing antibiotics and lead to the
development of new antibiotics and treatment protocols.
