Abstract
Bike share programs are becoming a more frequent and popular amenity for cities around the world. During the past 10 years cities in Europe as well as Asia have implemented successful large scale bike share programs. Many U.S. cities are now beginning to implement similar programs (Bikes Belong, 2012). In our paper presentation we demonstrate a test of the applicability of Reilly's Law of Retail Gravitation and the Huff model to optimize bikeshare location for both transportation and economic development in downtown Boise.
