Abstract

AMG 655 is a fully human monoclonal agonist antibody directed against the extracellular domain of human death receptor 5 (DR5). TRAIL (tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis inducing ligand) is the natural ligand for DR5 and is a member of the tumor necrosis super-family of cytokines that selectively induces apoptosis in cancer cells by binding to DR4 and DR5. DR4 and DR5 are present on most tumor cells. AMG 655 mimics the activity of native TRAIL, binding to and activating DR5 (TRAIL receptor 2; TR-2), thereby activating .... . © 2010
