An Attitude of Gratitude: The Effects of Body-Focused Gratitude on Weight Bias Internalization and Body Image

Research output: Contribution to conference › Presentation

Abstract

Weight bias internalization and body dissatisfaction are both linked to a variety of deleterious outcomes, yet little is known about how to ameliorate these issues. Across two studies (N = 404), we demonstrate the usefulness of body-focused gratitude writing exercises as a strategy to reduce weight bias internalization and improve body image.
