Abstract

This lecture will explore the issues of the impact of undocumented workers on the US economy, the motivations for unlawful immigration to the US, and the impact of various proposals for a “path to citizenship” upon the persons seeking that path. It will evaluate the political motivations behind pro- and anti- immigrant rhetoric and proposals in the US Congress and Executive branch.
