    Abstract

The field of family therapy has been slow to respond, at least in print, to the devastation created by the presence of AIDS/HIV in our midst. The special section introduced here offers the stories of clients and therapists as they join to face the disease together. The authors included herein share their clinical ideas, their personal challenges and reflections, and their hopes for how therapists can work with clients to create new ways of living with HIV.
