Abstract

There is limited research regarding the specific characteristics and training procedures that predict good interviewing skills. This is particularly crucial when conducting suicidal assessments. The current presentation provides an overview of a study that attempts to delineate these variables. Recommendations for graduate education and ongoing professional development will be discussed.
