Bevacizumab is a monoclonal antibody with antiangiogenesis properties that is employed for the treatment of solid tumors. By attaching to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), bevacizumab prevents it from stimulating the growth of blood vessels that are required for tumor growth.
