Abstract

This chapter presents a case study that a patient with type 2 diabetes mellitus experiences an acute physiologic reaction while receiving dental care. The dentist must immediately manage this suspected hypoglycemic episode. The chapter presents medical history, dental history and history of the current problem of the patient, and treatment of hyperglycemia.
