Abstract

Cymbeline is a late play by William Shakespeare, a romance that blends history, tragedy, and comedy, set in ancient Britain and featuring a complex plot of love, betrayal, and reconciliation. The story follows Princess Imogen, who is banished by her father, King Cymbeline, after her husband Posthumus is tricked into believing she is unfaithful, leading to a series of disguises, mistaken identities, and near-fatal events, including a Roman invasion, before a final, happy resolution.
