Abstract
As behavior problems increase within public schools, attempts at intervention are most effective when accurate data are available for planning and assessment. The current investigation examined the relationship between predictive variables impacting the completion of office discipline referrals (ODRs); moreover, this investigation sought to demonstrate the effectiveness of a coding system developed by the researchers as a method of measuring and improving the fidelity of the completion of ODRs in a school utilizing School Wide Positive Behavior Support (SWPBS). These findings shed light on the “coding” process as a potentially viable data source.
