Effectiveness of care farming on veterans’ life satisfaction, optimism, and perceived loneliness

Abstract

Military veterans are increasingly using care farms to heal their psychological wounds and reconnect socially. The authors examined the effectiveness of care farming using a smartphone data collection app to determine its effect on veterans’ life satisfaction, optimism, and perceived loneliness. Findings support care farming as a treatment for veterans.
