Evaluation of Recent Advances in Intrusion Detection for VoIP Systems

    Research output: Contribution to conferencePresentationpeer-review

    Abstract

Today VoIP systems are gaining increased popularity because of reduced cost and wider range of services. At the same time, it is natural that these systems are becoming targets for attacks. Besides the traditional fraud schemes conducted through traditional telephone services, the use of Internet introduces new attack vectors such as misuse, fraud, and denial of service. This paper intends to identify some recent progresses in IDS for VoIP systems, to provide an objective evolution, and to identify noteworthy future research directions.
