Evidence on the Effectiveness of Course-Embedded Consultant Programs in First-Year Writing Classrooms

Abstract

Presenters will examine results of a multi-institutional study focused on the value of course-embedded programs to teaching and learning by students, course-embedded tutors, and instructors in first-year writing and writing-in-the-disciplines courses. The poster will showcase survey questions and findings that are useful for developing course-embedded programs for potential faculty partners and administrators as a transferable strategy to enhance teaching, learning, and faculty development.
