Abstract
The authors used content analysis to explore the application of CSI’s Principles and Practices of Leadership Excellence ( PPLE ) to CSI chapter leadership through the voices of chapter leaders. With a sample of 50 student leaders, the authors found that CSI chapter leaders engage in behaviors consistent with the PPLE , albeit inconsistently. Implications for research and practice, including emphasis on intentional training to foster leadership excellence, are discussed.
