Abstract
Recently, the biochemistry course at NSU has been redeveloped from a cookbook set of labs to an integrated research based curriculum and in the process received designation as the first ExEL course in the Chemistry and Physics department. This presentation will focus on implementation of course based undergraduate research experiences (CUREs) through the lens of the biochemistry lab course. A special focus will be placed on benefit to students and assessment deign.
