Katrina and distance education

    Abstract

    The article suggests methods to implement free distance education courses to the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in the U.S. Among the strategies is to establish distance education as a critical component for educating in community, college or organization. In addition is the identification and empowerment of a planning group which include managers and leaders and the creation of mutually shared vision for distance education.
