Abstract
Although chromium overdenrure bases have a greater initial cost, reinforcing implant overdenture bases with chromium alloys offers a number of advantages, including greater strength, detection of thermal changes, thinner bases, and optimum stability. Nickel chromium or cobalt chromium alloys can be used with equal success.
