Physical disabilities most often affect a person's ability to perform tasks involving mobility and self-care (e.g., walking, driving, maintaining hygiene, and cooking). Some individuals are born with specific infirmities, referred to as congenital disabilities, whereas others experience physical limitations later in life, referred to as acquired disabilities.
