Abstract
As a physician or surgeon, you might, together with one or more colleagues, manage a case that seems sufficiently interesting to merit communication to the international medical community. In this chapter, we examine the practical nuances of drafting and publishing case reports. It is argued that writing a case report fosters reflective inquiry and advances clinical reasoning skills. Case reports are not only a valuable resource for informing unique clinical scenario both nationally and globally but can also provide an inspiration for larger-scale and more general studies.
