Abstract

This article describes the lessons that I learned from working for almost 10 years with Dr. Salvador Minuchin. During our time together, primarily in training graduate family therapy students, Minuchin would try to teach his ideas on the theory and practice of family therapy. Here I present 10 of the most influential sayings I heard Minuchin use. These sayings are his voice and provide part of his legacy that will continue to influence current and future family therapists.
