The Challenges and Benefits of Collaborative Case Study Research

Abstract

We will share lessons learned from a recently completed community-based case study on water management decision-making in southwest Florida. We discuss how several levels of collaboration impacted the research process, from study design, to sampling, recruitment, data analysis, and overall project management. Levels of collaboration including working with: a funding organization, other scientists and project contractors, project advisory board, community members, and research team members.
