    Abstract

    This case study examined the cardio-respiratory response to the one mile walk test in an adolescent who is obese as compared to response to treadmill walking. The results demonstrated the one mile walk test may be a valid assessment for fitness in adolescent that are obese while providing assessment in field conditions.
