Together Everyone Achieves More (TEAM): Collaborative Learning in Clinical Education

Collaborative models of clinical education(CE) remain viable opportunities to enhance learning to achieve common goals. Key to facilitating success with collaborative models of clinical education is balancing structure and flexibility of instructional strategies, with shared goals to achieve patient-centered care. Collaborative models of CE promote lifelong learning while bridging theory to practice. This session examines the current evidence relative to collaborative clinical education; provides opportunity for interactive discussion regarding the potential benefits and challenges related to implementing collaborative approaches to CE with best practice recommendations. Resources and experiences are shared from the Florida Consortium of Clinical Education with directors of clinical education, clinical instructor/clinical coordinator of clinical education and PT/PTA team perspectives. 3 hours interactive instructional education session
