Abstract
This chapter covers the law of war crimes, commonly referred to as 'international humanitarian law' or '. jus in bello.' It covers the sources of law from which international humanitarian law is derived, and the legal courts or tribunals where perpetrators of such war crimes are criminally adjudicated.This section only addresses those war crimes and tribunals that are international in nature, meaning that the substance of the actions during wartime have been characterized as criminal by the international community and the tribunals are ones that have been authorized by the international community to adjudicate individuals who have violated such international criminal law norms.
