Abstract
Zombie Prom is a 1950s-set rock 'n' roll musical with book and lyrics by John Dempsey, music by Dana P. Rowe, and is based on a story by Dempsey and Hugh Murphy. It follows high school senior Toffee, whose romance with the "bad boy" Jonny is forbidden by her parents, leading Jonny to die in a nuclear plant and return as a zombie determined to take her to the prom. The show blends 50s music with B-movie horror, featuring a cast of colorful characters and a plot that includes themes of teenage love, nuclear anxiety, and civil rights for the undead.
