    Abstract

Solution-focused therapists are trained to help their clients envision what their future would look like and what their goals are among other things. But oftentimes our clients struggle to use imagination and are unable to even imagine that future. This study includes the development of a workshop in which to help train mental health professionals learn about the benefits of using vision boards in therapy and apply them to Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) practices. The purpose of the study was to determine how the creative use of vision boards in SFBT can be beneficial to mental health professionals. Using a mix methodology that included qualitative and quantitative data, as well as the use of the Kirkpatrick Model as a form of evaluation, findings showed a positive response to the benefits of the training workshop and its impact on mental health professionals.
