Abstract

The culminating project for my doctoral capstone experience (DCE) was to use my current knowledge and experience to work with the IPE team in their efforts to continue to adapt and improve the IPE modules and complete any projects that would benefit from the IPE initiative. A literature review was conducted to explore interprofessional education (IPE) and a needs assessment was performed to identify DCE goals. Studies have shown that students who participate in IPE demonstrate increased interprofessional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. The main goal was to update, maintain, and facilitate to TBRC IPE modules of IPE 101 and IPE 201 for the summer semester.
