Undergraduate teacher education enrollments have decreased significantly over the past few years at a large, not-for-profit, private university in the southeastern area of the United States. This qualitative phenomenological study was designed to understand faculty members' experiences with integrating mobile devices into the undergraduate teacher education program at the private university for teaching and learning purposes. I sought to understand how faculty members' experienced training, how they adopted the mobile devices within their courses, how they experienced teaching and learning with the mobile device, and how the mobile device affected engagement practices. A review of the literature revealed a lack of current research; therefore, this phenomenological study was designed to help fill that gap.
